Export-grade and bulk differ in more than price

Everything is called "Yangfeng" in the market, but goods for overseas supermarkets and goods for street stalls follow wildly different standards. The core of export-grade is "predictability": every batch's Brix, size and appearance fall within the agreed range, with stable arrival performance. The four gates below are the indicators to watch most when selecting and inspecting.

Gate 1: check Brix

Soluble solids (°Brix) are the soul of sweet crisp persimmon. The entry line is about 14°, reaching the "premium" range above 16°. When procuring, ask suppliers for batch refractometer records rather than a vague "very sweet." Stable Brix means stable repeat orders.

Gate 2: check fruit size

Overseas channels prefer uniform sizes for easy display and pricing. Yangfeng's mainstream export size concentrates at 70–85mm, further split into large and medium by single-fruit weight. Uniform size not only looks good, but also lifts both packaging utilization and arrival good-rate.

Gate 3: check appearance

Premium fruit requires even coloring, bright orange-red, no mechanical damage, no disease spots, no sun scald, regular shape. Appearance is the consumer's one-second judgment on the shelf — it directly decides "pick it up or not."

Gate 4: check firmness and freshness window

The value of crisp persimmon is "crisp." Inspection focuses on whether it is still in the firm-edible window: too hard may mean Brix not yet there, too soft sharply raises transport and shelf risk. A stable firmness range is the premise of cold chain and arrival performance.

Ordering advice for buyers

Before ordering, confirm three things: destination-country access and quarantine requirements, batch-traceable Brix and cold-chain records, and post-arrival acceptance thresholds. Write standards into the contract — far easier than arguing afterward. For multilingual product pages and compliance support, include them in the export service package.
