1. Your category in Vietnam
Pick your category and this section shows what we actually hold for Vietnam: how many potential buyers we have verified, what roles they play in the supply chain, and how well they fit. Switch back to All industries at any time.
“Potential buyers” means the buyers we have verified and listed in our own directory — not every importer in the country. Buyer roles are our own grouping of the roles recorded in that directory. (18 of these records do not yet carry a recorded buyer role.)
2. Entry gate
Vietnam's gate is certification against the national technical regulations, evidenced by the CR mark, plus MIC type approval for radio equipment. The import side is comparatively efficient. The cost advantage comes from the ASEAN–China free trade area: qualifying goods enter at 0% with a valid Form E.
| Requirement | Status | What it involves | Lead time | Cost | Last verified |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CR certification | Mandatory (regulated products) | Certification against the applicable Vietnamese national technical regulation, with the CR mark applied to the product and a certification of conformity presented at import. Testing is normally carried out in Vietnam. | 6–12 weeks | Pending | Pending |
| MIC type approval | Mandatory (radio / telecom) | Radio and telecommunications equipment requires type approval and an equipment registration certificate from the Ministry of Information and Communications, normally through a local representative. | 6–12 weeks | Pending | Pending |
| Importer registration and customs | Always applies | The Vietnamese importer declares through the electronic customs system. Some categories require a state quality inspection before clearance, arranged by the importer. | 1–3 weeks | Pending | Pending |
| Tariff (MFN) | Always applies | Average applied MFN tariff around 3.7%; the rate depends on the HS line and must be confirmed line by line at HS-code level. | — | On customs value | Pending |
| Tariff (ACFTA / RCEP) | To claim the preference | The ASEAN–China free trade area is in force. With a valid Form E certificate of origin, qualifying Chinese-origin goods can enter at 0%. Vietnam also participates in RCEP. Confirm the origin rule for your HS line. | 3–5 days | — | Pending |
| VAT | Always applies | 10% standard rate, charged on the customs value plus duty. A reduced rate has applied to certain goods under temporary stimulus measures — confirm the rate for your category. Recoverable by a Vietnamese business registered for VAT. | — | 10% | Pending |
| Labelling | Mandatory | Labels in Vietnamese with product name, the importer's name and address, country of origin, net content and, for some categories, warnings and the CR mark. | 2–4 weeks | — | Pending |
Certification, tariff and clearance figures change. Every row above carries a verification date, and the current requirement is confirmed with your nominated local agent before each shipment.
3. Buyers and channel partners
Leading buyers and channel partners
Every company below is a real business in Vietnam taken from our own buyer research, and we have verified that its website is reachable. Names and business types are public; decision-makers, direct emails and phone numbers are reserved for members of the Buyer Directory.
How to use this list: do not mass-mail. Vietnamese procurement moves quickly and compares landed cost carefully. Lead with your certification status and your Form E capability, and be ready to ship when they are.
4. Demand and import profile
Select your HS code and this block shows the import performance of your own category in Vietnam — not the country's macro numbers.
