Most markets have mandatory requirements for hazardous substances and electromagnetic compatibility. Missing documentation at the display-module level means a gap at the very bottom of your supply chain — the hardest one to patch.
Most markets have mandatory requirements for hazardous substances and electromagnetic compatibility. REACH addresses the registration and authorisation of chemical substances, and customs and customer audits alike will ask for the documents. A gap at the display-module level is a gap at the very bottom of your supply chain, and patching it later is the most painful of all.
The more practical trigger is a customer audit. Overseas distributors, owner engineering teams and third-party test houses all ask: is there a RoHS declaration, a REACH statement of compliance, CE-related test reports. Those documents should not be something you assemble yourself — they should come from the supplier and remain the supplier's responsibility. We supply modules to RoHS, REACH and CE with complete compliance documents, ready to use in your finished-product certification and customer audits.
Display modules carry a 12-month warranty, extendable per project. The clause matters most on a first small-batch order. What a pilot order fears is not price but batch-level defects — a display anomaly, a dimming backlight, an FPC contact failure appearing across one batch. Without a warranty, the resolution is full return-and-replace plus delay, which is enough to stall a project that has only just started.
Three things should be explicit in a warranty clause: the scope of coverage (failure only, or consistency deviations as well), the start point (ship date or installation date), and the remedy (replacement, restock or credit). A warranty vague on all three is no warranty. Our 12-month warranty covers failure under normal use, with replacement as the remedy — get the clause in writing before signing.
Many enquiries state nothing but size, interface and quantity. That is not enough. An enquiry that avoids rework should also carry the operating temperature grade, viewing direction, FPC length and pin definition, the certification file list (RoHS, REACH, CE report or declaration), the warranty period and remedy, the packaging method (protection grade for long-distance transport), and whether samples and sample lead times are available. The earlier these are written, the fewer arguments later.
Stating them clearly has a second benefit: response quality separates suppliers immediately. The one or two who confirm item by item usually have mature processes; those who reply with a lump sum carry higher communication cost downstream. A clear enquiry is a mark of respect for both sides' time.
A display module is only one link in a hardware team's global launch. A supplier who can support both manufacturing and market entry saves a great deal of translation cost — you state the product requirement once and both sides understand it, instead of the factory building one interpretation while the market pushes another.
We supply both custom displays and display modules and provides market, brand and localisation support. On the display side of a global launch, one stop does it: modules supplied to RoHS, REACH and CE with complete compliance documents, a 12-month warranty extendable per project, and non-standard sizes and resolutions developed to drawing. Submit drawings or requirements and a solution and quotation returns within twenty-four hours — ask the compliance and warranty questions before price. The order should not be reversed.
Most warranties read twelve months, excluding damage not caused by the manufacturer. The useful questions are the ones the clause does not cover: is transit damage in scope? How long is the incoming inspection window? Does batch-to-batch colour inconsistency count as a defect? What is the repair turnaround, and is a replacement loaned while it happens? Who carries the packaging responsibility on a three-month sea shipment? Left unwritten, all of these resolve in the supplier's favour.
We retain a sample from every batch and records colour coordinates, contrast and the key parameters in the outgoing report, so a dispute months later is settled against physical reference material rather than correspondence. Repair stock is held for the warranty period, turnaround times are stated, and batch problems are handled by resupply rather than repair queues. Quotations are offered on EXW and DDP terms so packaging and transport responsibility is allocated explicitly rather than assumed.
The most common trap in export orders is documentation lagging the goods. The cargo arrives, customs asks for RoHS and REACH reports for clearance, the paperwork is still in process, and demurrage accrues daily. A display module may be low in unit value, yet one missing document can hold the entire shipment.
The right rhythm is to fix the deliverables list at quotation approval: specification, certification reports, test data, packaging requirements, marking rules and packing list template. These travel with the goods, and a shipment is not complete until all of them are there. First orders deserve particular care, because they are also the client's first assessment of your delivery capability.
We ship export orders with complete compliance documentation covering RoHS, REACH and CE, synchronised with the goods, plus an outgoing report recording colour coordinates, contrast and temperature grade per batch. What the client receives is not only goods but documents that can be filed directly.
Tell us your project scenario and requirements, and we will match the right solution and provide a quote within 24 hours.
