Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of fangservice.com and of the paid services we provide through it. They are an agreement between you and HANGZHOU UX TRADING CO., LTD, trading as FangService. By creating an account, placing an order or using the directory, you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.

1. What we provide

  • Free member account: a limited daily search quota in the Overseas Prospect Directory, with company details partly masked.
  • Directory licence: unmasked access to the records of the industries you purchase, for a fixed period.
  • Client Offerings listings: publication of your products on our site, where you have purchased that option.
  • Service work: market research, brand, creative, localisation and related projects, under a separate written scope.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to register. This is a business-to-business service.
  • Give accurate information about your company. You are responsible for keeping it current.
  • Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account; tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • One account per company or individual. We may refuse or close accounts created to circumvent quotas or resell access.

3. The directory licence — what you may and may not do

Term. A directory licence runs for 12 months from activation. The fee is charged once. There is no automatic renewal: when the 12 months end, access stops unless you place a new order. At renewal, the fee is recalculated from the record count on the renewal date.

Scope. The licence is for use inside your own organisation, to research and contact prospective buyers.

Not permitted under any licence:
  • reselling, sublicensing, publishing or redistributing the records, in whole or in part;
  • making the records available to anyone outside your organisation, including as part of another product or dataset;
  • bulk scraping, automated harvesting, or reconstructing the database by systematic extraction;
  • using the records for mass unsolicited email that does not comply with applicable anti-spam law.

Records added to an industry during your licence term are included at no extra cost. The record count and price are locked when you place the order.

4. Payment, delivery and refunds

  • Prices are shown on the order page before you confirm. Payment is arranged by bank transfer or PayPal invoice.
  • We issue a 16-character unlock code after payment is confirmed, normally within 24 hours. The code is shown in the Member Centre and emailed to your registered address.
  • Digital service: once the unlock code has been issued and the directory is accessible, the fee is non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This does not affect any statutory right you may have that cannot be excluded.
  • If we cannot deliver what you ordered, we refund that part in full.

5. Acceptable use of the website

Do not attempt to break the site's access controls, probe or scan it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, place unreasonable load on it, or use it to send unlawful, misleading or infringing material. We may suspend access to protect the service or other users.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its design, text, structure and the compiled directory are ours or our licensors'. Your company name, logo and product information remain yours; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them for as long as your listing is active. Third-party trademarks shown on the site belong to their owners and are used descriptively.

7. Third-party data and accuracy

Directory records are compiled from public and commercial sources. We work to keep them accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every record is complete, current or error-free, and we do not guarantee any particular commercial result. You are responsible for how you use the information and for complying with the law when you contact a prospect.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid service is limited to the amount you paid for that service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, in particular the licence restrictions in section 3, or that we are required to act on by law. Where we close an account for breach, no refund is due. You may stop using the service at any time; see the Privacy Policy for how to have your data deleted.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order governs that order. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. The People's Court of Xihu District, Hangzhou (杭州市西湖区人民法院) has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, and you agree to submit to that court's jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer rule in your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement. Before starting proceedings, please write to us — most issues are settled that way.
