DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the people who use this site to do the same. This page explains how to tell us that material on fangservice.com infringes your copyright, and how to respond if someone reports your material.

Designation with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory is in progress. Notices sent to the address above are received and acted on from the day they arrive.

2. How to send a takedown notice

Send your notice to the designated agent above. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), it must be a written communication that includes substantially all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If a single notice covers multiple works on this site, provide a representative list of those works.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it — the exact URL is best.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number and email address, so we can contact you.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Be careful: if you materially misrepresent that material is infringing, you may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). Before filing, consider whether the use may be permitted by law — for example fair use, or a licence you have not checked.

We remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we notify the person who posted it. We aim to act within 5 business days.

3. How to send a counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed, and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or that person's agent.

We may forward your counter-notice to the original complainant. If they do not notify us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

4. Repeat infringers

We keep a record of valid takedown notices. An account that is the subject of repeated valid notices will be suspended or closed, and where appropriate its listings and directory entries will be removed. We may also remove material and close accounts in appropriate circumstances without a formal notice.

5. What this page does not cover

This page deals with copyright under the DMCA. For trademark disputes, defamation, privacy complaints, or requests to correct inaccurate directory data, write to [email protected] — those are handled separately and usually faster than a formal DMCA notice.
